LOCATION: DENVER, CO
Shipley is an artistic scientist born in San Antonio, Texas (1996) and based in Denver, Colorado, for over a decade. With a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Applied Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology, they explore the intersections of nature, the human body, and lived experiences through art. Working primarily with linocut prints and textural art, Shipley employs an interdisciplinary approach, incorporating various mediums and scrap materials to create a multi-sensory experience.
Through the lens of a queer, multiracial artist, their work weaves poetry, physical dimension, and sharp contrast into narratives exploring identity, culture, and resilience. Currently, they are developing a series on grief—not as an absence, but as a presence we must coexist within. This body of work will be exhibited at the Post Gallery on Santa Fe Dr. from April through August of 2025.
